Live Sound Training and Consultancy

We've helped hundreds of venues, bands and churches get the most from their live sound systems. We've traveled throughout South East England battling feedback, waging war on Earth buzzes, and laughing in the face of radio frequency interference!

Our training sessions are engaging and friendly, and drawn from a lifetime of live sound experience on 'the front line'

Our training and consultancy efforts are carried out from an artistic perspective, drawing from our experiences as musicians and studio engineers/producers, as well as from a purely live sound 'techy' point of view.

At present, our training sessions are really geared to our clients immediate needs in the form of informal Q&A sessions at the customers premises, but more structured training courses are on their way, both 'on-site' and at our own facilities in Essex/East London.

System Setup and Optimsation

To get the most from any sound system, it needs to be properly setup and optimised in terms of room equalisation and gain structure.

If you think your system is not sounding as it should, and you're not getting the most from it, then it's likely the problem exists in one or both of these areas.

It's not always about equipment. You can spend money on expensive and trusted brands and still not get the results you require, or were expecting, and with proper setup great results can be got from the most modest equipment.

It has to be setup properly.

Room EQ is probably the most important process but gain structure setup will help make your system sound cleaner and clearer, and then there's things like earth/ground loops/buzz and problems around wireless systems and radio frequencies.

We travel throughout the Southeast of England, helping clients get the most from their sound systems and making sure their system sounds as clear as possible with maximum sound and minimal feedback.

Live Sound Training

Our training and consultancy services currently consists of informal Q&A style sessions where we'll take you through and answer any live sound related questions or problems you may have.

But more structured and formal training courses are coming......which means you and your staff will be fully equipped to tackle any live sound project or problem they may be faced with.

We'll tackle subjects such as system setup, gain structure and room EQ, but also targeted and specialist courses on microphone applications and placement, mixing consoles, outboard equipment, and loudspeaker theory and positioning.

We also offer training on specific key products such as Studiomaster's Digilive 16 console which offers incredible creative possibilities, but may be a slightly daunting prospect for an inexperienced user/client.
